Light Shine City (1st-5th grade)
Our Children’s Ministry, Light Shine City, is for first through fifth grade children. At CONCORD, children are very important. It is our desire that each child will experience the love of Jesus Christ and have a memorable and spiritual experience when they attend. The name Light Shine City is taken from Matthew 5:14 when Jesus says, “You are the light of the world; a city on a hill cannot be hidden.” Our ministry team strives to shine God’s light to every child so that each one see a true picture of Who God is, know the value of attending church services, and begin to form their true personal identity, based upon God’s truth. Our prayer is that in this kind of nurturing environment, your child will eagerly accept God’s love through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and then allow their light to shine through their life.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY SECURITY SYSTEM
Starting Feb. 5th, there is a new way to sign-in first to fifth graders. You (the parent) will sign them in on a computer in the children’s hallway. There are two computers; you may use either one. They are located between Rooms 202 and 203 and between Rooms 206 and 207.
For a few Sundays, someone will be at the computers to help you; however, it is really easy—I promise! Two matching, randomly numbered stickers will print out: one for you to keep, and the other is your child’s nametag. Have the child put the nametag on, and you present yours when you pick your child up.
