Serve St. Louis | October 2017 – Last year more than 5,000 people throughout the area helped others by painting, repairing, raking, cleaning, singing, visiting, and doing whatever they could to bless others and be blessed in return. We’re always searching for new projects, so look around your neighborhood or listen to others as they express a need.
This is one of our on-going ministries. The Concord Food Pantry currently needs canned meat (including chili, pasta with meat, chicken, tuna, etc.), canned fruit, paper products, and personal hygiene items. We currently have plenty of vegetables and boxed pasta. Please place items in the container by the Atrium soda machines. Thank you for your support of our neighbors in need.
Now a more complete ministry, the International Fellowship (IF) Ministry serves the South St. Louis area in several areas. We support them through donations of food, monthly support, and through special projects. IF also offers classes at Southwest Baptist Church for the food pantry families. They have a Bible study on Sunday afternoons and need help with the children’s area while the adults learn about the Bible. They have cooking sessions on Saturdays, tutoring for children on Monday evenings, and special classes for GED and English when volunteers are available.
Every couple months, Concord serves one Saturday morning at the food pantry. You can grab a group of friends or come individually to join others from Concord in volunteering just two hours to fill boxes for the clients. Contact Sherri Wirt, email@example.com, for the next serving date and to sign up.
